Feet flying high, bass hittin’ low and that all at 160bpm – Chicago’s Footwork culture has recently gained massive interest all over the globe.
The first release on Franjazzco’s brand new Footwork Frenzy label gathers some of the freshest talents of the genre: DJ Manny, DJ Earl, Boylan and DJ Curt from Chicago’s legendary Teklife crew and the windy city’s first ladys of Footwork, Jana Rush and Jlin, are represented as well as Paisley Parks from Japan, DJ Chap from Denver, Skimatix from the UK and labelowner Franjazzco himself.
The result is an eight-track-strong compilation which covers quite different approaches towards the genre, going deep, funky, twisted, raw and back and fourth – yet, always keeping an eye on the battleground!

Beauty and power combined. Nostalgic and forward-looking all at the same time. DJ Rashad's legacy through Machinedrum's imagination. All tracks are excellent; "Tha Flow" is also a stellar piece, closely after "The $$$." Balazs Bognar
